Муниципалитеты Евразии объединяет общий язык межгосударственного общения, общая история, общий менталитет и общие экономические задачи. Города Евразии отличают многолетние тесные дружественные связи друг с другом, а также с муниципалитетами всего мира, в рамках которых происходит обмен опытом в сфере городского развития, культуры, экономики, образования и др., проводятся совместные мероприятия. Развивая долгосрочные побратимские и партнерские отношения, города вносят свой вклад в международное муниципальное сотрудничество, и их роль в системе международных связей приобретает все большее значение. //

Eurasian municipalities have a lot of things in common: their language of interstate communication, their history, their mentality, and their economic aims. Eurasian cities are known for their close and friendly relations with each other and with the cities all over the rest of the world – the relations they have been sustaining for many years, all while sharing their experience in the area of urban development, culture, economics, education, etc., and holding various events together. Through the development of their sister-city and partner-city relations, municipalities contribute to the development of international cooperation between cities, and their role in the system of international relations is growing more and more important.

В рамках данного круглого стола будут рассматриваются приоритетные направления сотрудничества муниципалитетов в Евразийском регионе в современных условиях, установление и развитие побратимских и партнерских связей городов Евразии, опыт международного сотрудничества муниципалитетов в деле достижения устойчивого развития. //

Within the frame of this round table, we will review the current key priority areas of intermunicipal cooperation in the Eurasian region; establishment and development of the twinning and partnership links between Eurasian cities; experience of international cooperation between cities in the attainment of sustainable development.
