They Pretend to Feed the Cats, But Look Closer…

Every day, hundreds of hungry cats and kittens wait among the little shelters scattered across this area. People often ask me: “Does the municipality feed them?” The answer is… yes, they pretend to.

Each morning, municipal workers drive around placing small buckets of food and water beside the cat houses they’ve built every 500 meters. Then they take photos — carefully staged — and share them on their website to show how “kind” they are to animals.

But here’s the truth they won’t show you: The food they leave is so poor in quality that the cats don’t even touch it. The bowls remain full all day — untouched, uneaten. Yet to the people passing by, it looks like the cats are well-fed, and the municipality looks like a hero.

Meanwhile, in front of hundreds of cat houses I built with my own hands, they never leave a single grain of food. Because if they did, people might start asking questions: “How can one man do more — and better — than an entire municipality?”

Now, I’m here again — with real food, with love, with care — filling bowls for the cats who truly depend on us.
