At a regular feeding spot, a scrappy, affectionate senior started showing up every day, greeting volunteers with purrs and charm. He had a leg wound, matted fur, and eyes that had clearly seen a lot. We carefully got him into the carrier and made sure to bring his friend inside, too. We named him Figure Eight. Even in pain, he was pure affection, leaning into every chin scratch and refusing to be ignored. A medical exam showed the toll street life had taken: chronic kidney disease, FIV, and serious dental issues. Thanks to your support, he got the full works - fluids for his kidneys, and major dental surgery that left him toothless, but pain-free. Now he’s thriving in his forever home chasing wand toys, zooming through hallways, and curling up with his parent like he’s known them forever.
