I’m Mike. Since 1998, I’ve taught hundreds of people to swim — from infants to grandparents — I’ve built my own progression.
My background is in Early Childhood Education and Physical Education, years in Montessori classrooms (18 months–2nd grade) focusing on movement, and experience teaching 4th grade, K–8 technology, and high school PE. I’ve coached soccer, basketball, and baseball.
Across all of it, one truth has been crystal clear: a child’s best shot at becoming a safe, confident swimmer early is when their parents understand the role they play.
For nearly three decades, I’ve been the last stop for families who waited too long or relied on puddle jumpers, have years of unsuccessful swim “lessons”— only to realize their child had built the wrong habits.
Your mission is simple: get your child comfortable putting their face in the water early and often.
The more time passes without it, the harder it becomes.
Delay doesn’t just slow progress — it locks in bad posture, bad muscle memory, and a fear that’s much harder to undo later.
You need to gain the knowledge, so your child can gain the skills.
