Here’s a BLW recipe for eggplant! ????
An easy way to make eggplant for #babyledweaning is to make a no added salt baba ganoush ????
This recipe has tahini, which is sesame paste - and sesame is one of the allergenic foods, so make sure baby has already had sesame a number of times without reaction before using this recipe if it’s the first time you’re offering eggplant too ????
Ingredients
* 1 medium-large sized eggplant
* 1 lemon
* 1 teaspoon minced garlic
* 2 tablespoons tahini
* 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prick eggplant all over with a fork 15-20 times. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or nonstick spray and cook eggplant in oven until shriveled in appearance and flesh is soft when poked with a fork. Remove from oven and cool.
2. Peel slightly cooled or room temperature cooked eggplant, removing the purple skin and top of the eggplant. In a food processor combine eggplant and remaining ingredients except olive oil. Process until smooth and then drizzle in olive oil with processor running until achieving desired consistency.
3. You can also add additional herbs like fresh parsley if you prefer before serving to baby.
